CHIP is a national cross-sectional study repeated every 5-7 years designed by a team of Chinese and international scholars and currently under the auspices of the School of Economics and Business Administration at Beijing Normal University. WebThis study examines asset-poverty rates in China using the 2013 survey data from the Chinese Household Income Project (CHIP). The results indicate that asset-poverty rates in urban China were lower than those of developed countries, whereas rural and migrant households experienced more serious asset poverty than their counterparts in urban China.
