While I didn't use it on my frame or control arms, I did use it for the spindles, steering linkage, gear box and I'm going to use it on the rear axle. They have a rust encapsulator to be used like a primer before the chassis black for better adhesion, but it does say in the directions it can be used on bare metal. WebExcellent brake caliper paint. If you paint the pieces separately ,then bolt it together you will break the paint film around the heads of the bolts which will cause the rust to travel.
