Thomas Brudenell, (later Brudenell-Bruce), who was known as Lord Bruce from 1747 to 1776, when he became the 4th Earl of Ailesbury. His son, Charles Brudenell-Bruce, succeeded him in 1814 and in 1821 he was created 1st Marquess of Ailesbury.
