WebSpanner crab (Ranina ranina) is a red crab named after the unique shape of their claws. They walk forwards and backwards, unlike other crabs that walk sideways. They are a longer lived species, estimated to hit sexual maturity at about 5 years of age and can live for about 15 years. Males can grow to around 150mm and females to around 120mm.
